This Ukulele is not the highest quality, but WELL worth the price. At first it frequently went out of tune and I was discouraged, but now that I've broken it in, I rarely have to retune. The sound is good-- it doesn't sound like a toy as I would have thought, but also doesn't sound pro (not that one would expect it to at this price). It is nice to have a case for it to transport and keep it covered. The pitch pipe is convenient when you're a beginner, as ukuleles don't tune quite the same as other instruments. On the other hand, I do wish I'd have gotten a nicer one now that I love playing it, but it was smart to buy a cheaper one to see if I would follow through rather than keep it as another closet accessory. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner.

My son's new saying is: "No one can be ill temprered while playing the ukulele". I love listening to him play it. He jsut loves it. The instrument has a lovely sound. I was reluctant because it is not an expensive instrument, but the sound is great, and the carrying pack is well made and very convenient.

I recently got interested in the ukulele. I did alot of research and I couldnt decide which one to get, so I bought this one at a local shop three days ago and I've probably played it 25 hours since then. I literally walked out of the store and was walking down the street playing the three chord song the store owner showed me. It does need to be tuned everytime you pick it up, but I've barely put it down. Its so fun and easy to play. I already know three songs on it, and my fingertips have almost stopped burning when I play.
Appearance wise, sad issue I just had is from all the strumming the little decorative ring around the sound hole came off and now there's a shinny ring of adhesive there instead. But I will probably paint something over it anyways.
Also, the tuning pegs had to be tighten a little, they have a tendency, at least on mine to come loose, so it goes out of tune quickly but its an easy fix with a screw driver.
It is on the cheaper end but doesn't feel cheaply made. It still had a great feel and a great sound. I've gotten to play a few higher end uke's and there really is a huge difference, but I feel this is one of the best starter uke's you can get.
So go buy a ukulele!!

It offers hours of playing with minimal in-between tuning. The nut and saddle are just high enough for smooth playing. It has great resonance . This a a great Ukulele for a beginner as well as a professional player. This will keep my son busy for long periods of time. he also plays the trumpet and piano.
